Raymond Salgado is a Filipino-Canadian singer and performer born and raised in a small community on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. He began singing at the age of 11 and has continued to develop his craft through local competitions, festivals, concerts, and musical theatre productions.
Raymond rose to national attention as a finalist on Season 2 of Canada’s Got Talent, where he reached the Top 8 after being selected from approximately 6,000 applicants. He has also performed for the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena after winning the Anthem Bracket Challenge.
In 2023, Raymond shared a viral musical moment with renowned vocal coach Cheryl Porter, further introducing his voice to audiences around the world. He later collaborated with French pianist Julien Cohen on a viral performance of Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” in Cannes, featuring more than 100 voices. The performance became one of Raymond’s most widely shared musical moments.
With a combined following of more than five million across his social media platforms, Raymond has received recognition and support from internationally acclaimed artists including Adele, Demi Lovato, Sam Smith, Katy Perry, Calum Scott, Charlie Puth, and many others.
On August 7, 2026, Raymond steps into the world of original music with the release of his debut single, “From Afar.” After years of sharing his voice through covers and live performances, he is now ready to step fully into his truth, tell his own stories, and introduce the world to who he truly is as an artist.
